Forgiveness is about letting go of the story, those that harmed you and moving on. This does not mean you have to ever speak to them again, just let go and move on. We often obsess about the past – thinking about it constantly and repeating the story to ourselves and others. Your higher self feels the emotional connection and thinks it is happening all over again – so it adds another layer of pain which is locked and held in the body.
Stop yourself every time you think about it – and instead, look for anything you can be grateful for (even if it is totally unrelated to the person or incident). This will distract you and the more you focus on gratitude the more you will start creating a new easier existance.
